A NEW TOOL/ UN NUEVO INSTRUMENTO
To a great extent, the violence that affects migrants does not originate from a desire to harm but rather from the inadequacy of public policies and current practices when they do not take sufficiently into account the specific conditions of migrants. It is in this context – when the violence suffered is not intended but rather the result of poorly adapted or implemented policies – that the EVAM methodology applies.
En gran medida, la violencia que afecta a los migrantes no tiene su origen en la voluntad de hacer daño, sino en inadecuadas políticas públicas y prácticas, que no tienen suficientemente en cuenta las condiciones específicas de los migrantes. En este contexto, cuando la violencia sufrida no es intencionada, sino que es el resultado de políticas mal adaptadas o implementadas, es cuando se aplica la metodología EVAM.
